All bags are made from sustainable materials and fabrics that are Global Recycled Standard and GOTS certified.
I support the local economy and employment, which is why the bags are made in workshops in the province of Alicante, with traditional and artisan techniques, where the working conditions of the employees are respected.
Main fabrics used
POLYESTER
Pre-consumer recycled polyester:
It comes from the discards from the production of polyester and PET plastic bottles that, due to production failures, cannot be used in the food industry and are recycled to produce recycled fibers for the textile industry (among other uses).
Post Consumer Recycled Polyester:
This material comes from plastic waste collected in the environment, mainly in the seas and landfills. It is the tons of plastic waste found in the oceans, including bottles and fishing nets, as well as the waste found in landfills and in the environment.
Post-consumer recycled polyester has a higher environmental value.
RECYCLED COTTON
Recycled cotton comes from converting cotton fabric into cotton fiber that can be reused to make textiles.
This cotton is generated from two primary sources:
Pre-consumer recycled cotton:
It is cotton that is produced from fabric scraps or production remains.
Post-consumer recycled cotton:
This cotton is produced from clothing items that have reached the end of their useful life, such as jeans, t-shirts, upholstery, towels, household items…
Certified fabrics
All fabrics have the Global Recycled Standard and Gots certificate.
Gots Certificate: It is the standard by which it is approved that fabrics and textiles are made of organic fibers. Only textiles made with at least 70% organic fibers can obtain this type of certification.ethics.
Recycled standard certificate: The Global Recyled Standard (GRS) certification guarantees that textile materials are recycled, ensures sustainable production, the absence of harmful chemicals, respects environmental criteria and ethical working conditions.
Dye: The fabrics are dyed by direct dyeing with GOTS and GRS certificate.
